Mista B was involved in a traffic accident today where he was rear ended & hit truck hit so hard that the bed of his truck was pushed into the cab.

All the GLORY to God that he suffered a severe back strain with no broken bones & is now home from the hospital resting.

D-Train went down last week. He messed up his knee, but doing well and up and running.

Justified was hit by a hit and run driver. She is banged up with road rash, nothing broken. She will be going to the doctor to get checked out.

Last meeting it was discussed to have this month's meeting a lil later in the afternoon then head down to the dance to assist Mustafa and Honey Bee with set up and other items as needed? Is this still the plan? Will we have a meeting?

Wedding Plans for the Breunigs:

As you may or may not know about three weeks ago my grandfather had a massive heart attack. My grandfather was on life support and put into a medically induced coma on Friday of last week he was taken off the medically induced coma and life support and was breathing on his own but, was still in a coma. My grandfather woke up from his coma on Wednesday of this week and is still in serious condition. The good news is he is conscious vital signs look good and according to the doctors he is very week and his age he is 88 years old will determine his recovery it will be a long process.
The wedding from every detail down to the floral arrangements was entirely due to my grandfather’s planning. As Chief of his tribe and really the only father I ever knew he wanted to be able to give his only granddaughter away and present my family in the traditional Indian Custom. As of right now I cannot with good conscious even think about not having my grandfather experience any of the hard work he put in preparing this wedding. I can’t even begin to imagine not having the only father I know walk me down the isle and absolutely refuse to even think about the idea of not having him there with me. Besides the idea of not having my grandfather by my side I do not want to have any of the other tribes perceive going through with this wedding as disrespectful to my grandfather as he is going to go through a major recovery process in their eyes I am sure that the main focus should be on him and taking care of my grandmother during this difficult time.
After discussion today with my immediate family, the Chiefs of each tribe, several of the wedding event vendors and my Fiancé we have all come to the conclusion proceeding with this wedding would not only damage my reputation as future Chief of the Tribe and future Chief of the Indian Council but may be perceived as disrespectful as my main focus and my family’s focus should be on making sure my grandfather makes a healthy speedy recovery.
I am very sorry for those of you who requested time off of work to attend our special occasion and do hope that you understand the importance of having the only father I ever knew be there. I also thank each and every one of you for your thoughts, flowers, cards, gifts and especially your prayers. I strongly believe in the power of prayer and believe with out your warm wishes, thoughts and most of all prayers my grandfather may not have made this miraculous recovery.
I do ask at this time if you have FACEBOOK please DO NOT POST ANY GOOD WELL WISHES AT THIS TIME as he is Chief of his tribe and several tribal members have been unaware of his illness and to avoid any confusion or strain within our tribal community we have decided to keep all of our family information to immediate family and Chiefs of the Council we will make a formal announcement to all the tribal members at the next Indian Council Meeting. If you wish to send any get well wishes please feel free to email us call or text us.
As soon as my grandfather recovers is sent home and is ready to do this we will have his dream wedding and will re announce our plans at that time.

Family Reunion Run

Departing from the Lyons Ave Denny's off Hwy 5 at 7:00 am SHARP on Saturday, May 29th.

The wedding is sort of up in the air for now.

Mel's Grandfather had a really bad heart attack on the 15th and is on external heart pump and
respirator. His heart is improving slowly but he is still not awake yet.

They are going to leave him on life support in the hopes that he continues to
improve. On Tuesday they will reevaluate his condition.

If he passes the Indian tradition is to morn for 1 year so the wedding will be postponed for a year.

We will let everyone know as soon as we know.

I am sorry to have to inform you, Terry (Big Daddy aka Solo Lobo) Hardin was involved in MC accident last night and he is currently at California Hospital. He suffered a broken leg and some other injuries and is scheduled for surgery today. Medium Mike advise he is okay under the circumstances. Understandably he doesn't want any visitors right now. On January 2, 2010, the Evangelism Team Ministry of Crenshaw United Methodist Church (CUMC) will sponsor a “Blessing of the Bikes”. The motto will be, “Start the new year with a thunder”. I believe that this event will be an opportunity for our church to incarnate the “Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations” which are:

1) Radical hospital

2) Passionate about worship

3) Intentional in our faith development

4) Risk-taking and service

5) Extravagant generosity

As such we, the members of CUMC, are committed to making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are determined to succeed as we demonstrate Radical hospital because we are Passionate about worship. Moreover, by offering this unique kind of service it demonstrates that we are Intentional in our faith development and not afraid to step out on faith in Risk-taking and service because it is our desire to exhibit Extravagant generosity.

The Evangelism Committee, led by Rev. Edward Hawthorne, will start the New Year with a thunder! The first proposed event will be as follows:

The Blessing of the Bikes

This event will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the upper parking lot adjacent to Wesley Hall of Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 3740 Don Felipe Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008.


Purpose: To fulfill Crenshaw United Methodist Church’s commitment to follow the Five Practices of a Fruitful Congregation.

What: The Blessing of the Bikes will present a unique worship experience for members of the community who share a common passion for riding motorized bikes. As you know, motorcycle riders have very little to no protection around them as they traverse the city streets and freeways. Only three days ago, November 30, 2009, the news reported that a motorcyclist had been side swiped and killed by a hit and run driver. This event will offer the opportunity for riders to have their bikes blessed within a worship experience pertinent to their needs and passion.

How: The worship experience will begin at 10:00 am with a common gathering in and about Wesley Hall where a light breakfast will be served, while bikes are arriving and being lined up outside. A brief sermon and blessing will be led by Rev. Edward Hawthorne. Communion (optional) will be administered by the Rev. Hawthorne; additional ministers are invited to participate in this process (and may be required) if there is an overflow on Don Felipe Drive. Each participant will receive a church business card with a 2010 calendar imprinted on the reverse side. The attendees will depart and follow a prescribed scenic route to Neptune’s Nest in Malibu, CA.

Hawthorne or his designee, for questions not covered by the fact sheet.

December 19, 2009, at the Ontario truck stop at 9:00 a.m. , kick stands up at 9:30 a.m sharp. The toy run is headed to 1225 Frederick Street, Moreno Valley, CA Please bring a toy worth at least $10. The toy run will end up at the Magic Wheels’ San Bernardino Clubhouse at 272 Mountain View Avenue, San Bernardino.

The laughs of the night came with the GIFT EXCHANGE, where SANDMAN's chosen gift was swapped maybe 10 or 11 times. Thanks to with a year that has taken it's toll on the club, but somehow the spirit of the club has shown through.
