J.U. Eulogize & Celebrate our Brothers Lives...

"BIG JIM" - 11/14/09 - It is with PROFOUND sadness that we have to report that our friend and prospective member "Big Jim" was killed last night Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Simi Valley.  J.U. Members so fondly enjoyed "Big Jim" at our meeting on 11/14/09, as he formally expressed his desire to join.

As you all remember, Jim recently loss his beloved wife (pictured here last year) Phyllis, at our 1st Annual Popeye Toy Run last year & had this past weekend announce his desire to join the club & thanked us all for helping him through recent times.  They both will be TRULY missed as they both contributed their time to join us in many runs & events.

God Bless you all
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I MISS ME SOME DAVO, POPEYE & BIG DAWG! * * * * * * * * * * * *

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why they left this earth so soon, or why they left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we will begin to remember not just that they died, but that they lived. And that their lives gave us memories too beautiful and funny to forget.

I know that Popeye is up there giving out orders and taking charge, Big Dawg he’s up their sucking on a big cigar as he leans back before slamming down some bones and well, they can't get DAVO off his darn bike.  Now he can ride his HOG around HEAVEN all day and night.

The memory of all my beautiful JU brothers brings me strength. For life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

Our energy must now turn to the living. As we comprehend this profound loss, let ourselves cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens.

We must all remember that they all died doing what they LOVED.  They lived to RIDE and the rode to LIVE. It sure wasn't because their hair blew in the wind.
